About AcreetionOS

AcreetionOS combines the freshness of Arch Linux with the polish people expect from a daily-driver operating system.

The idea

Most Arch-based distros make you choose: bleeding edge or stability, control or convenience. AcreetionOS refuses the trade-off:

  • Rolling Arch core — always-current kernel and packages.

  • Curated repositories — packages pass through AcreetionOS’s own repos (repo-main) at https://iso.acreetionos.org/repo-main/, so the keyring and package set stay consistent.

  • Sensible defaults — Cinnamon, PipeWire audio, NetworkManager, GRUB with os-prober, Plymouth boot splash.

The name

Acreetion is creation — spelled the way it sounds when you say it fast. The project builds an OS it wants to use, then shares it.
